Sr. Superintendent

TEC Group, Inc. is partnering with a client in Detroit, MI to identify an experienced Commercial Superintendent. The Sr. Superintendent is responsible for leading day-to-day field operations to ensure all construction activities are executed safely, on schedule, and in alignment with project scope and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary on-site safety leader, enforcing OSHA and MIOSHA standards and maintaining daily activity logs
Plan, coordinate, and sequence subcontractor work to meet project schedule and quality expectations
Participate in the development and execution of project schedules, logistics plans, and work plans
Lead subcontractor kickoff, pre-installation, safety, and weekly coordination meetings
Monitor field progress, identify potential delays, implement workarounds, and report schedule status
Ensure permitting, inspections, testing, and documentation are completed accurately and on time
Maintain trade coordination documentation and resolve conflicts impacting workflow
Manage rolling punch lists and support efficient closeout activities
Coordinate field-related change orders with subcontractors and suppliers
Provide photo documentation and required field reporting
Promote a collaborative, productive jobsite culture and support proposal or interview efforts as needed

Required

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety practices, and building codes
Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Timberscan, MS Project, and Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of trade contracts and construction documentation
Experience supporting design and preconstruction phases
Strong organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to manage documentation, reporting, and multiple priorities efficiently
Proven ability to work effectively with diverse project stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience
15 years of field leadership experience as a Superintendent
MIOSHA 30 certification
CPR and First Aid certification
