The role involves providing scientific and technical expertise for coastal restoration and hurricane flood protection projects, including data management and analysis, as well as developing monitoring plans.

Responsibilities
Works with Coastwide Reference Monitoring System (CRMS) data (QA/QC, database management, data analysis and integration into restoration project assessments)
Develops and implements monitoring plans for coastal restoration projects
Collects monitoring data including vegetation, surface elevation change and accretion, shoreline change, submerged aquatic vegetation, and hydrology data types
Manages monitoring data and interacts with CPRA’s CIMS database
Assesses coastal restoration project effectiveness and composes detailed technical reports for stakeholders
Works with engineers and planners to implement new coastal restoration and flood protection projects
Operates and maintains boats including shallow draft vessels and airboats
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: biological sciences, physical sciences, earth sciences, environmental sciences, natural sciences, engineering or a related field
