Responsibilities

Draft Committee agendas and analyses
Vet proposed legislation and negotiate bill language and amendments
Present policy rationale to the Chair and other members of the Committee
Organize oversight and informational hearings
Support budget staff on relevant trailer bills
Contribute to Committee reports
Prepare talking points for the Chair

Required

Bachelor's degree required
At least three (3) years relevant experience is required
Candidates must have a background and familiarity with policy and analysis
Candidates must have knowledge of policy areas within the Committee's jurisdiction, including policies impacting data privacy, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and consumer protection, among other related policy areas
Candidates must also have experience and knowledge of the legislative and committee process
The ability to maintain a high level of analytical proficiency
The ability to develop strong programmatic expertise
The ability to foster positive working relationships in a team environment is essential
