Responsibilities
Lead & grow the engineering team
Manage, mentor, and support a team of front-end, back-end, and full-stack developers
Foster a collaborative, positive, high-accountability engineering culture
Provide coaching, feedback, and performance development (reviews, goals, growth plans)
Plan, prioritize, and oversee development initiatives aligned to business objectives
Partner with Product, QA, and key stakeholders to shape requirements and scope
Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality, well-tested, maintainable software
Guide architecture decisions and long-term technical strategy
Lead code reviews and enforce best practices for security, performance, and reliability
Help the team ship scalable systems that support growing traffic, data, and feature needs
Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend improvements when it matters
Strengthen Agile/Scrum execution and improve team rituals (planning, refinement, retros)
Optimize development workflows and CI/CD pipelines
Champion automation and operational excellence across the SDLC
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
7+ years of software development experience
3+ years in a leadership/manager role (Engineering Manager / Dev Manager / Tech Lead w/ people leadership)
Hands-on familiarity with modern web technologies such as JavaScript, React, Node.js, .NET, Python
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) and DevOps practices
Strong communicator with the ability to translate business needs into technical execution
Comfortable balancing multiple projects and competing deadlines
Preferred
Master's degree
Experience in financial services / fintech
Knowledge of APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architecture
Exposure to security and compliance practices in regulated environments
Familiarity with data analytics platforms and data-heavy systems
