Responsibilities
Design, develop, implement, verify, and test high‑quality GNC algorithms, models, and flight software
Develop 6‑Degree‑of‑Freedom (6DoF) simulation models to evaluate missile flight performance
Conduct mission analysis for both flight test and tactical systems
Create and test missile autopilot, navigation, and guidance schemes
Analyze missile flight dynamics, control laws, and system performance
Build simulation toolchains and evaluate flight software behavior
Provide mentorship and oversight for early‑career engineers
Collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure technical quality and performance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's + 5 years of relevant experience OR Master's + 3 years OR PhD + 0 years
Active DoD Top Secret clearance (current and in‑scope)
Demonstrated expertise in Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) engineering
Experience designing, implementing, and testing flight control algorithms
Hands‑on experience in high‑fidelity 6‑DOF modeling and simulation environments
Proficiency in C++, with additional experience in Python and MATLAB
Preferred
Experience with missile GNC systems
Strong C++ development skills in a Linux environment
Proficiency with MATLAB and Python toolchains
Master's or PhD in a relevant STEM discipline
Prior experience designing flight‑critical guidance or navigation software
