Responsibilities
Supervise and lead accounting staff by assigning, reviewing, and approving work, and providing training on accounting procedures and best practices
Accounting Supervisor will oversee the preparation, review, and accuracy of accounting records, financial statements, payroll, and related reports
Monitor and account for assets, liabilities, invoices, revenues, and expenses
Develop, modify, and maintain accounting systems and processes, including oversight of third-party programs or services when applicable
Perform account analysis and audits, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations
Prepare and review financial reports for internal management and external stakeholders, including funding sources when applicable
Conduct cost studies, financial analyses, and special projects to support operational and strategic decision-making
Collaborate with managers and external partners on complex financial and accounting matters
As an Accounting Supervisor, you will compile and present periodic and ad-hoc financial reports for leadership review
Support budget preparation, including data compilation, forecasting, expenditure monitoring, and variance analysis
Ensure proper accounting for restricted, designated, or special-purpose funds as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and standard accounting and auditing practices
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, including the ability to assign, review, and guide the work of others
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain accurate accounts, analyze financial data, and prepare clear, well-structured financial reports
