The Program Analysis engineer will work on the Semgrep engine to analyze source code for vulnerabilities and collaborate with the Security Research team to enhance detection capabilities.

Responsibilities

Work on the Semgrep engine that analyzes source code to detect high-impact real-world security vulnerabilities

Collaborate closely with the Security Research team to improve the quality and quantity of vulnerabilities detected in source code

Quantify and optimize the performance of the engine using data-driven approaches wherever it runs

Required

Experience with static analysis and program analysis techniques

Ability to analyze source code to detect high-impact real-world security vulnerabilities

Collaboration skills to work closely with the Security Research team

Experience with data-driven approaches to quantify and optimize performance

Familiarity with programming languages used in the Semgrep engine

Willingness to learn OCaml quickly if not already experienced

Professional experience with OCaml is preferred but not required

Experience with Python

Experience with OpenTelemetry and Datadog
