6+ years expZaxbys is seeking a Director of Market Planning & Analytics to join their Franchise Development team. This role will lead data-driven decision-making to shape market expansion strategies and optimize existing market performance through analytical insights.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive market planning strategies to identify optimal locations for new store openings, considering demographic trends, competitive landscape, trade area analysis, and projected performance
Lead the annual market planning process, including market prioritization, investment allocation recommendations, and long-term expansion roadmaps
Partner with Real Estate, Development, and Operations teams to translate market insights into actionable growth strategies
Conduct ongoing market performance reviews and recommend strategic adjustments to optimize portfolio performance
Build and maintain analytical models to forecast sales, predict market cannibalization, and evaluate unit-level economics
Analyze consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities and potential risks
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across markets, including same-store sales growth, market penetration, and brand health metrics
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and compelling narratives for executive leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
6+ years of progressive experience in market planning, business analytics, or strategic planning
Expert proficiency in analytical tools and platforms (SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
Strong quantitative and statistical analysis capabilities, including experience with predictive modeling and forecasting
Proven track record of translating data into strategic recommendations that drive business results
Strategic thinking with strong business acumen and commercial instincts
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, with capacity to influence senior stakeholders
Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively across teams and functions
Adaptability and comfort operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred
Preferred experience in the QSR, retail, or hospitality industry with understanding of site selection, trade area dynamics, and unit economics
Experience working with franchise business models preferred
