They are seeking a Senior Claims Consultant to partner with Producers on servicing existing accounts, provide expert claims consultation, and manage complex claims while ensuring effective communication among all stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Manages claims status and prompts various parties, brokers, staff, clients, and adjusters to take the next step, including prepayment, partial payment, gathering information, and working with subrogation contacts
Partners with client legal counsel on coverage, claims, and strategy for settlement
Manages primarily medium to large, complex claims
Manages and oversees claims data in the database, including claims updates, running claims runs, analyzing claims information, and preparing information for underwriting and/or client review
Prepares coverage arguments for client advocacy and forms coverage positions as a client advocate
Provides coverage/policy interpretation for large property and casualty claims
Prepares and analyzes loss valuations
Attends claims meetings with clients, carriers, legal counsel, and adjusters to review claim status and resolve and settle issues
Provides follow-up calls and written correspondence and keeps records of all work done on behalf of our clients
Partners with the client on case preparation and support as needed
Uses negotiation skills to provide the best possible outcome for clients as needed
Builds and establishes strong relationships with carriers, adjusters, and clients
Develop training materials with a client and service team perspective for coverage reviews, loss reporting procedures, and claims guidelines in handling various situations
Delivers claims training in person and client workspace as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education
Twelve (12) or more years of related work experience
Substantial experience with Commercial P&C claims handling and adjusting and prior brokerage experience required
Valid Property and Casualty Broker-Agent license or willingness to obtain within 90-days of start
In-depth knowledge of all commonly encountered P&C insurance coverage and Risk Management concepts and techniques
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent negotiation skills
Good leadership, problem-solving, and time-management skills
Advanced analytical skills
Good planning, organizational, and prioritization skills
Ability and motivation to work independently and proactively
Ability to interface with executives – internal and external
Preferred
Juris Doctor, CPA, Or Other Professional License, Strongly Preferred
Possession of CPCU, AIC, and/or ARM or other property-specific designation, strongly preferred
