Responsibilities
Perform manual testing of web/mobile applications, APIs, and backend components
Use Charles Proxy or similar tools to intercept, inspect, and validate API requests/responses
Create and manage test cases, test data, and test documentation
Perform API testing using Postman, validating request/response structures, status codes, and headers
Write and execute validation scripts using Java, wherever applicable, for custom test scenarios
Run and troubleshoot backend validations using SQL queries across relational databases
Operate in Linux-based environments to access logs, run commands, and debug issues
Integrate testing tasks into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
Log and track defects using tools like JIRA, and work closely with developers for issue resolution
Contribute to improving test coverage, quality standards, and team productivity
Qualification
Required
6–8 years of experience in software quality assurance and manual testing
Strong hands-on experience with Charles Proxy (or similar network debugging tools)
Manual testing of web/mobile apps and APIs
Java (for scripting or test validation)
Postman (for API validation)
SQL (for data validation and backend checks)
Linux (basic command-line operations and log analysis)
CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions
Strong understanding of QA processes, test planning, execution, and defect management
Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in agile teams
