Responsibilities
Plan and manage internal quality system assessments of all global manufacturing facilities
Develop auditor capability and competency at COE and facility levels
Act as QRC business contact for Internal Audit follow-up and resolution of open recommendations
Collaborate with Internal Audit on assessment processes and follow-up activities
Conduct quarterly reviews with QRC Senior Leadership regarding outstanding food safety issues
Lead assessment programs across the supply chain, including Supplier, Contract Manufacturing, Distribution, and Food Service/Licensing
Set criteria for auditors and third-party assessment providers; build relationships and resolve corrective actions
Manage relationships, contracts, and calibration with third-party assessment providers
Serve as company expert on all recognized GFSI standards
Advise on the alignment of THC Product Excellence Program standards with GFSI standards
Ensure facility practitioners are trained and maintain currency on relevant standards
Maintain relationships with GFSI standard owners and certifying bodies, ensuring certifications are up to date
Represent QRC Governance on non-routine projects, including global assessment documentation systems, KPI development, M&A activities, divestitures, and new facility operations and design advice
Qualification
Required
Strong leadership skills to manage projects and globally diverse teams
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees (Production to VP)
Knowledge of quality assurance/control principles, HACCP, GMPs, and relevant global regulations
Experience implementing GFSI standards (SQF, FSSC 22000, BRC); FSSC 22000 Auditor/Lead Auditor training preferred
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel 30–40%, including international travel; able to obtain passport and visas
Valid driver's license
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field
Experience: Minimum 10 years of Quality Assurance experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
Required: HACCP, PCQI, or equivalent
Preferred
FSSC 22000 Auditor/Lead Auditor training preferred
Preferred: ISO 9001:2015 Auditor Certification (RABQSA/ASQ), GFSI recognized certifications (SQF, BRC, FSSC 22000, IFS)
