Responsibilities
Build and lead ECS design quality function and team
Optimize the engineering design and development process
Ensure requirements are validated
Influence new part selection and drive a robust change control process
Provide technical and quality science expertise
Provide peer level review to chief engineers, PLELs and PEMs as well as their teams
Serve as a trusted partner and guide through APQP tools including DFMEA and establishment of key characteristics
Prevent issues via early engagement in the development process
Drive adoption of the design quality service model and associated cultural change across stakeholders
Provide highly impactful insights and influence at all levels through the organization in a highly collaborative manner
Address cross functional teams through all levels of the organization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in hardware, software or systems engineering or technical field with 12+ years of related work experience
Current Secret clearance with ability to obtain special access clearances
Experience building and leading teams
Technical competency in hardware and software development
In depth experience with the quality sciences as well as program management
Strong problem solving and risk management skills as well as business and financial acumen will all be leveraged to ensure that the solutions meet the needs of the business and the warfighter
Preferred
Master's Degree in hardware, software or systems engineering or technical field
Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
10 years building and leading engineering or quality teams
Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt
Full life cycle experience, from personal design experience through full scale production of hardware, software or firmware
Program or product management including Agile development experience
