Responsibilities

Develop and refine project scope, objectives, and timelines
Create detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to guide execution
Define resource requirements and allocate assets effectively
Assist in day-to-day project operations, ensuring progress aligns with established plans
Monitor project milestones and adjust plans as needed
Ensure the delivery of high-quality deliverables in time
Serve as a liaison between clients, team members, and senior leaders
Facilitate regular meetings and communication to address project concerns or updates
Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts efficiently
Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize disruptions
Resolve issues promptly and escalate critical concerns to leadership when necessary
Establish contingency plans to prepare for unforeseen challenges
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and contractual obligations
Continuously assess project performance against key metrics
Prepare and deliver project status reports, including financial performance, schedule updates, and risk analyses
Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities and decisions
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's-level degree from a recognized college or university. Alternatively, qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis
If no degree is obtained, a total of 9 years of experience is required
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). The PMP certification is required and may not be substituted with additional experience
A minimum of five (5) years of broad, extensive, and increasingly responsible Project Manager project experience applying project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools on IT projects
At least three (3) years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity
A minimum of two (2) years of experience providing diverse technical and management services to government agencies
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner
Strong customer service skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail
Ability to analyze systems and procedures
Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple design streams across concurrent work effort
Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

Preferred

Master's degree or doctorate from a recognized college or university
Six (6) or more years of broad, extensive, and increasingly responsible Project Manager project experience applying project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools on IT projects. Four (4) or more years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity
Three (3) or more years of experience providing diverse technical and management services to government agencies
