Responsibilities
Lead audit engagements from planning stages through completion, ensuring quality and timeliness
Serve as the main point of contact for clients during audit execution
Review audit documentation and financial statement drafts, applying strong professional judgment
Identify potential issues and risks early in the engagement and assist in developing practical resolutions
Supervise, coach, and mentor audit staff and seniors, providing ongoing development and performance feedback
Manage engagement budgets, schedules, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent audits
Collaborate with senior management to support departmental initiatives and maintain exceptional client service
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline
10+ years of progressive experience in public accounting, with a focus on audit; Active CPA is required
Strong knowledge of one or more applicable frameworks (e.g., FASB, GASB, ERISA, Yellow Book, Single Audit)
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex audit engagements simultaneously
Proven experience training, supervising, and mentoring audit personnel
Ability to work in a hybrid environment and travel to client locations as needed
Preferred
Background in nonprofit, commercial, employee benefit plans, or governmental audits preferred
