Responsibilities

Lead all core accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger management
Review, reconcile, and maintain accurate financial records
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP
Conduct variance analysis and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings
Present actionable financial insights to senior management
Support ad‑hoc projects and initiatives led by the CFO
Partner with the CFO on annual budgeting and rolling forecasts
Monitor performance against budget, flag variances, and recommend solutions
Build and maintain financial models to support projections and scenario planning
Oversee tax filings (federal, state, and local) and ensure compliance
Ensure accurate and timely payroll and sales tax reporting
Stay current on changes in tax regulations and implement necessary adjustments
Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and manage year‑end audits
Strengthen and monitor internal controls across the organization
Oversee AP operations to ensure timely, accurate vendor payments
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships and address discrepancies
Review payment schedules and disbursement reports
Monitor AR aging reports and drive timely collections
Collaborate with Sales to address overdue accounts
Implement strategies to enhance cash flow and minimize outstanding receivables
Oversee cash flow forecasting and ensure proper liquidity
Manage banking relationships and optimize working capital and treasury activities
Collaborate with the CFO on long-term financial strategy
Evaluate capital investments, major expenditures, and potential M&A activity
Assess risk, identify opportunities, and advise on financial implications of business decisions

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA required
5+ years of experience in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role
Minimum 2 years leading or supervising accounting teams
Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and compliance standards
Advanced skills in financial analysis, forecasting, and ERP/accounting systems
Proven ability to develop and mentor accounting staff
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication abilities
High integrity, strong business acumen, and attention to detail
Energetic, collaborative leader who thrives in a high‑performance environment
