Responsibilities
Operate production machines and equipment following accepted practices
Must be able to operate material handling equipment such as overhead hoists and cranes
Perform minor maintenance on machines and equipment including lubrication, cleaning, adjustments, and minor maintenance checks
Make machine set-ups as requested / required for differing job runs
Accurately report daily activities on work orders, Kanban cards and other media as required
Meet established production standards
Must understand how to interpret and use production work orders / product router special instructions
Conduct required quality checks using defined measurement equipment
Exercise safe working habits while operating machines. Keep machine and work areas clean and free of safety hazards
Comply with the Quality Management System
Properly follow Work Instruction / Training Guides & Control Plans
Adhere to ISO14001 Environmental Policies applicable to assigned areas & overall general plant requirements
Adhere to Auxiliary Axle Systems Employee Handbook
Other duties as assigned
Maintain regular attendance
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a similar industry
Must be able to pass internal machinist test
Be self-motivated, have strong initiative and strong communication skills
Computer skills required
Ability to work hours outside regular schedule and overtime as needed
