Mid LevelServingSchools is seeking a Risk Manager to assist member districts with loss prevention and compliance programs related to safety and reducing workplace injuries. The role involves advising on facility-related issues, providing in-service education on safety issues, and developing relationships with school staff.
Education
Responsibilities
Assist member districts with loss prevention and compliance programs with respect to safety and reducing workplace injuries
Identify hazardous activities and conditions which exist in school buildings
Advise member units with technical facility-related issues and legislative matters as necessary
Provide in-service education on a variety of safety related issues on site/regionally and through digital means
Qualification
Required
Experience and/or knowledge of safety procedures
Applicable regulatory requirements in schools
Loss prevention including injury prevention and safety
Ability to develop and foster relationships with a variety of school staff or other organizations
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of school staff from custodians to facility managers to superintendents
Possess a valid Maine driver's license
Willingness and ability to travel frequently and remain away from home for up to a week at a time to complete district inspections
Must be able to obtain CHRC approval through the Maine Department of Education
