Senior Inside Sales Engineer

Automated Logic is looking for a Senior Inside Sales Engineer to expand their customer base and exceed sales targets, working closely with the sales team to prepare estimates and collaborate on bids.

Responsibilities

Analyze sales data to identify upcoming potential opportunities
Work with the sales team to create accurate estimates, prepare bids, perform site walk-throughs, and conduct field surveys
Collaborate with outside sales and sales management to develop and present sales
Support bid activities including but not limited to; obtaining subcontractor quotes, performing job take offs and conducting jobsite walkthroughs
Track project expenses compared to the estimated costs
Review project specification and control schematics
Provide clear documentation on estimates, proposals, and scope letters
Assist when there are deviations from original specifications
Collaborate with internal staff to deliver quality results
Proactively educating internal and external customers on ALC product / services (ex. trainings, lunch and learns, etc.)
Obtain multiple subcontractor prices
Qualify opportunities and assist to develop bid strategy

Required

High School Diploma or GED
3+ Years of Experience in Sales

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business, Accounting, or related field
5+ years of experience in Sales, Building Automation, HVAC, and/or Controls
Preferred to have some direct customer facing or Outside Sales experience
Capable of building strong relationships with customers and coworkers
Detailed-oriented, self-motivated, and works to continuously improve
Strong skills in written and oral communication, analysis, organization and time management
Ability to basic financial and accounting-related issues
Experience with sales tools and software, such as a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and estimating software
Capability to perform in a fast-paced and changing environment
Knowledge of how to present ideas and strategies clearly to diverse audiences, leadership, and decision makers
