They are seeking a passionate Patient Access Representative to join their Roanoke Contact Center team, helping patients access the healthcare they deserve through effective customer service and appointment scheduling.

Responsibilities
Answer high-volume patient calls in a friendly and empathetic manner
Scheduling appointments, entering patient information, and verifying insurance for patients
Stay current on changing clinic information such as appointment template, clinician schedule and individual provider services
Provide patients with accurate information (hours, services, prices, referrals, etc)
Provide self-pay patients with timely Good Faith Estimates (GFE)
Answering any patient questions regarding PPSAT services, including STI testing/treatment, abortions, Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), contraceptive options, etc
Acknowledge repetitive nature of calls and maintain professional sensitivity in responding to each caller's concerns
Verify insurance coverage for all appointment types
Make reminder call to patients one day prior to their scheduled appointments
Contribute to a positive work environment by following through on tasks, taking initiative, working with the team and identifying solutions
Qualification
Required
Passionate about access to high-quality healthcare, especially in reproductive and sexual healthcare
Effective communicator with the ability to relate to patients of diverse communities
Experienced in customer service, bonus points for previous call/contact center experience!
Technologically competent, with data entry skills
