Responsibilities

Draft messaging, briefing docs, press pitches, and social content (LinkedIn) to support comms campaigns
Monitor industry trends and news to ensure that our message effectively reaches our target audiences
Develops media lists, monitors news coverage, and assists with press releases and media outreach
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication campaigns
You will ensure that our brand message is clear, consistent, and engaging across all channels

Required

Previous experience in communications and/or public relations settings
Pursuing a college degree with a major in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
Strong written communication skills with an emphasis on copywriting and editing
Ability to maintain complete confidentiality on sensitive topics
A pulse on current culture and trends; experience managing and drafting social media content is a plus
Flexible approach to working as part of a global team
Curiosity, empathy, and a driving desire to learn
Someone with a sense of humor who is ready to roll up their sleeves and help support our growing function
You are actively enrolled in a Bachelor's program and have a strong record of academic achievement
You can complete an 8-12 week internship over the summer
Knowledge of and comfortable working within the Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Calendar) and Slack
Organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize projects based on deadlines
Ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
