Responsibilities
Work within a cross-functional team to develop fluidic and mechanical test fixtures
Develop test plans with design engineering team(s)
Carryout test plans, generate formal reports and communicate results to design team
Support detailed engineering analysis of new and existing designs to verify robustness and design intent
3D Model creation and design assembly of test fixtures
Design of sheet metal, machined and 3D printed parts as well as 3D assemblies
Produce detailed drawings utilizing GD&T and CAD Infrastructure engineering best practices
Ensure laboratories are kept organized and clean to ensure a safe work environment
Maintain equipment and ensure all requiring calibration are current per quality standards
Participate in design reviews with a cross-functional team
Collaborate with engineers, machinists and management to achieve project objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Min 4 years of industry experience in product design, development, testing and/or manufacturing with technical background in mechanical assemblies that are related to fluid and motion control
Must have experience specifying, setting up and running data acquisition systems
Must have experience with typical lab instrumentation, such as pressure/force transducers, flow meters, and thermocouples
Must have proficiency in NX CAD design software or similar
Strong ability to plan and organize tasks
Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.…)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Preferred
Experience generating LabVIEW code to support test fixture requirements desired
GD&T skills and the ability to perform tolerance stack-ups on complex assemblies a plus
Proficiency with ASME Y14.5 standards a plus
Experience with additive manufacturing processes and 3D printers a plus
Familiar with Scrum agile system (ADS) a plus
Proficiency with MATLAB a plus
