Responsibilities
Safety-related Management functions (claims, data integrity, documentation)
Worker’s Compensation activities
Safety Best Practices - create, maintain, manage and train
Conduct workplace safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues
Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
Manage the disposal of hazardous waste and oversee pollution control programs to ensure environmental compliance
Develop and execute emergency response plans and coordinate regular drills to prepare for potential incidents
Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies, managing all required reporting and correspondence
Analyze safety data and incident reports to identify trends and recommend preventative measures
Design and deliver safety training programs for all employees on company procedures and regulatory requirements
Maintain all EHS documentation, including safety records, permits, and compliance reports, for internal and external review
Qualification
Required
3-5 years related experience working for a medium to a large employer in a position responsible for Risk Management, Health and Safety, and/or Workers Compensation claims filing. Related certificates and/or education may be considered
Experience preparing a variety of software, spreadsheets, presentations, speaking points, reports, or other documents while managing changing priorities
Experience preparing agendas, preparing SOP's and SSOP's, and preparing meeting minutes is essential
Must be computer proficient
Must be exceedingly well organized
Extensive knowledge of common workplace safety regulations
Preferred
Experience working in a start-up manufacturing environment, service industry or chilled environment is highly preferred
