This role involves building and leading an Epic practice focused on reducing healthcare administrative costs for various clients, while also serving as a trusted advisor on Epic strategy and implementation.

Responsibilities
Build, scale, and lead a high-impact Epic implementation and advisory practice
Develop service offerings, methodologies, and delivery frameworks for Epic implementations, optimization, and performance improvement
Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Epic consultants and leaders
Establish quality standards, operating procedures, and governance models
Serve as a trusted executive advisor to healthcare leaders on Epic strategy, optimization, and governance
Lead enterprise assessments across clinical, operational, and revenue cycle domains
Identify and address revenue leakage across patient access, documentation, coding, billing, and collections
Provide guidance on system readiness, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and long-term value
Lead end-to-end Epic implementation initiatives, including planning, execution, and risk management
Partner with client leadership and Epic teams to ensure alignment and accountability
Guide change management, training strategies, and adoption efforts
Partner with business development teams on client pursuits, RFPs, and solution design
Build credibility quickly with prospective and existing clients
Contribute to overall leadership strategy and growth initiatives
Represent the practice in industry events and thought leadership opportunities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred)
7+ years in healthcare IT, including 5+ years leading Epic implementations and/or advisory work
Business Development experience
Deep understanding of healthcare operations, revenue cycle, and financial drivers (e.g., cash as a percentage of revenue)
Proven experience building or scaling a consulting or professional services practice
Ability to establish instant credibility with executive healthcare leaders
Preferred
Epic certification(s) (EpicCare, Resolute, Cadence, etc.)
Experience with ambulatory and acute care Epic implementations
Background advising large health systems or academic medical centers
PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar credentials
