Principal Analyst – Cost Estimating & Pricing

Responsibilities
Work independently and in a high performing team environment to perform Cost Estimating and Pricing functions during the proposal lifecycle, which includes leading pricing activities for new business proposals, Rough Orders of Magnitude (ROM) estimates and program change proposals for space systems
Lead and support proposal development efforts in both unclassified and classified environments
Serve as a strategic business advisor for proposal teams and SMS leadership; perform risk analysis in the development of proposal products, to include performing Monte Carlo analysis and historical data crosschecks
Conduct presentations for internal management on items related to BAE Systems cost estimating & pricing policies, processes, tools, compliance, and industry/government activities
Support implementation and utilization of a standardized Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
Perform Request for Proposal (RFP) and Statement of Work (SOW) analysis and compliance related to cost, schedule, and proposal submittals
Assist in the collection and analysis of historical data to support development of Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and Realistic Cost Estimates (RCEs)
Apply lessons learned documentation, assessment, and implementation of corrective action/improvements to estimating and pricing processes
Support analysis of existing tools and development of new tools to improve proposal cost estimating and pricing functionality and efficiency
Provide fact finding and negotiations support to proposal teams
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment
Perform other duties as necessary
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 6 or more years related experience
Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education
Solid analytical skills and ability to develop data driven insights
High (Moderate-II) Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, and Teams
Willingness to learn and grow in role
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to function in a high paced dynamic team-work environment
