InternSpringfield Empowerment Zone Partnership is looking for an Early Childhood Student Intern to assist in planning and implementing daily educational activities for preschool students in Springfield Public Pre-K Schools. The role includes providing supervision, maintaining a safe learning environment, and supporting the developmental needs of children.

Responsibilities
Assists with implementation of daily educational activities for preschoolers
Assists Teacher in maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment (classroom) that is appropriate to the developmental level and learning style of the preschooler
Confers with the Teacher as to definite responsibilities and schedules to be carried out in the classroom
Assists the Teacher with organizing the child developmental folders
Provides appropriate status-child interactions with the children
Supports the social, emotional, physical, and developmental needs of each child
Assists with preparation of inventory of classroom supplies
Qualification
Required
Must be a student enrolled at High School of Science & Technology Early Education and Care program
A senior student or in the second semester of Junior year
Prior experience working in an early childhood education setting such as internships
Must be able to assist teacher with implementing lesson plans that meet the needs of all children assigned to the classroom
Must possess a positive attitude, flexible and able to work with diverse groups of people
Must be able to accurately enter data into the computer
