Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable - Shared Services

FTS Inc is seeking a Senior Manager for Accounts Receivable within their Shared Services division. This role provides strategic leadership over the full Order-to-Cash cycle, managing A/R operations including billing, credit, collections, and reporting.

Responsibilities

Lead & develop the team
Coach, develop, and motivate an A/R organization in a shared services model
Set clear goals, manage performance, and build a high-performing culture
Own end-to-end O2C execution
Oversee billing and invoicing accuracy, credit memo processing, cash application, and reporting
Ensure smooth handoffs and consistent execution across the full cycle
Manage credit risk
Evaluate creditworthiness for new/existing customers and set/adjust credit limits
Minimize bad debt exposure and approve exception payment plans within policy
Drive collections and resolve disputes
Execute collection strategies to reduce DSO and improve cash flow
Monitor aging, prioritize delinquency risk, and partner cross-functionally to resolve disputes
Strengthen compliance & controls
Maintain and enhance internal controls aligned to SOX and PCI expectations
Prepare audit documentation and support internal/external audits
Support close & performance reporting
Partner on month-end/quarter-end/year-end activities, reconciliations, and A/R reporting
Prepare monthly cash forecast inputs for Finance/Treasury
Track A/R KPIs and provide insights and action plans
Partner across the business
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and IT to improve outcomes and customer experience
Support training for Sales on credit policies and best practices
Lead projects, automation & continuous improvement
Drive system enhancements and process improvements (design, testing, deployment)
Implement automation and scalable workflows to improve speed, accuracy, and efficiency

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience
10+ years of progressive A/R experience, including credit and collections
7+ years leading teams in an A/R/O2C shared services or GBS environment
Strong understanding of global O2C operations and best practices
Experience in a SOX-compliant environment
ERP experience (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
Knowledge of relevant compliance/credit concepts (commercial law basics, UCC, PCI) and ability to interpret credit reports
Advanced analytical skills (Excel + financial systems) with a KPI-driven mindset
Strong communication skills and comfort influencing senior leadership
Proven project leadership and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
