Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain healthcare integration workflows using IBM IIB / ACE
Develop and support EDI and HL7 integrations for healthcare systems
Build and maintain ITX (WTX) maps for EDI ↔ JSON and JSON ↔ EDI transformations
Work with HL7 v2.x interfaces and troubleshoot parsing, validation, and routing issues
Support healthcare EDI transactions including 837, 834, 835, and 997
Develop and expose secure RESTful and SOAP APIs
Ensure HIPAA compliance, data integrity, and secure data exchange
Collaborate with QA, operations, and business teams for testing and deployment
Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide technical estimates and design input
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience as an Integration / EDI Developer in healthcare
Strong hands-on experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB) / App Connect Enterprise (ACE)
Strong hands-on experience with IBM Transformation Extender (ITX / WTX)
Strong hands-on experience with HL7 v2.x
Strong hands-on experience with Healthcare EDI transactions (837, 834, 835, 997)
Experience with FHIR, REST, and SOAP APIs
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare data security
Working knowledge of XML, JSON, Java, SQL
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred
Experience with Rhapsody Integration Engine
Healthcare domain experience with hospitals, clinics, or labs
Knowledge of Meaningful Use, HITECH Act, and clinical terminologies
