Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Chicago, IL that is seeking a Finance Manager needed to research and resolve issues identified with the PCS (Payments: Consumer & Small Business) rewards liability processes
The primary objective is to understand how changes in the business (and card products) has resulted in differences between the liability as calculated vs. GL balance
Ultimately the aim is to determine whether there is noise in the process created by timing or if there is true GL -leakage-
As part of this assignment, documentation and process flows for key inputs is needed
Qualification
Required
Strong accounting background, understanding of general ledger (chart of accounts), journal IDs, journal entries, cost centers, etc
Understanding of GAAP
Data management and source systems (SARV/Mainframe reports)
Ability to analyze data, transactional, operational, etc
Strong Excel skills, particularly working with data (i.e. pivot tables)
Experience with balance sheet and P&L reconciliations (period over period, process vs. process)
Proven track record of performing financial analysis on complex topics
Variance (rate/volume) analysis
