Responsibilities
Review nuanced, escalated user reports and determine whether they violate Hinge’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
Identify and surface new and emerging user trends to the broader Trust & Safety team
Support user experience by responding to reports of harm submitted via email, including incidents that may have occurred off-platform
Answer ad hoc questions from third-party moderators about our guidelines and enforcement practices
Collaborate with our Global Escalations team to support users in crisis or emergency situations
Contribute to data labeling projects that improve safety-related machine learning and detection efforts
Conduct QA on moderator training to ensure high-quality enforcement outcomes
Qualification
Required
You're empathetic and deeply thoughtful about how enforcement decisions affect real people
You're an organized and detail-oriented communicator who can manage multiple time-sensitive tasks
You're comfortable asking questions and eager to learn — and teach — new systems, processes, and guidelines
You thrive in both independent and collaborative environments
You can adapt to evolving systems and workflows
You're capable of handling sensitive, high-stakes content with professionalism
Preferred
Experience in content moderation or a customer-facing role is a plus, but not required
