Responsibilities
Perform manual testing on the next generation of interactive computing for our platforms
Work with automated solutions to support and enhance our quality initiatives
Test audio drivers, firmware and audio subsystems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the requirements, challenges, and existing tools
Define and refine team test tools, processes, and procedures
Thrive under pressure and quickly adapt to new technologies for effective audio testing
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of experience in general test engineering required
Expertise in audio testing, software testing, isolation issues, and developing test plans to meet specifications
A solid foundational understanding of electronic and audio technology
Ability to effectively triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose solutions
Strong ear for sound anomalies and the validation of sound quality
Familiarity with real-time audio handling, including sample rates, buffering, PCM, drivers, and related concepts
Experience working with automation and scripting is also advantageous
Preferred
B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Music Technology, or equivalent experience
Experience working on augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technology is highly valued
Ability to script in Python is a plus
Audio DSP experience is a plus
Understanding of game audio implementation is a plus
