Responsibilities

Support multiple divisions with sustaining engineering for fielded products
Analyze design changes ranging from individual circuits to fully configured systems
Perform component analysis for BOM replacements and define required testing
Test new or replacement circuit‑level components and evaluate results against established criteria
Assess electrical and system compatibility between interconnected medical devices
Troubleshoot and analyze failures involving circuit boards, cables, power supplies, and displays
Conduct electrical testing of PCBAs and finished products, documenting and implementing design updates
Perform standards‑based testing, including EMC and safety evaluations
Ensure all engineering documentation complies with internal Quality System requirements
Support regulatory submissions by providing technical rationale, test results, and standards‑compliance explanations
Work closely with internal manufacturing teams and contract manufacturers to resolve production challenges
Collaborate with quality, regulatory, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to ensure product reliability and compliance

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in product development
Proficiency with electrical test equipment, including: Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Signal generators, Spectrum analyzers, Network analyzers, Soldering irons, crimpers, and other manual tools

Preferred

Experience in a regulated industry, ideally with Class II or Class III medical devices
Familiarity with IEC 60601‑1 and IEC 60601‑1‑2 standards
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams
Experience partnering with engineering, quality, regulatory, and manufacturing groups
