IT Support Technician

ESCO Maritime Solutions is a company focused on providing technical support services. They are seeking an IT Support Technician to deliver first-line technical support, configure workstations, assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, and contribute to IT initiatives.

Responsibilities

Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues; escalate complex problems to senior IT staff as needed
Deliver remote and in-person support to employees across multiple office locations
Configure and deploy workstations, software, peripherals, and user accounts
Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including provisioning/deprovisioning of user access and systems
Document standard procedures, contribute to internal knowledge bases, and maintain asset records
Assist with staff training on tools, best practices, and IT policies
Contribute to larger IT initiatives, system upgrades, and infrastructure projects
Provide support during security assessments and audits
Ensure compliance with organizational IT standards and protocols

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft, Cisco) strongly preferred
1–3 years in a help desk or technical support role
Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows/Linux/iOS environments
Experience supporting MS Office Suite
Familiarity with basic networking concepts and diagnostics
Ability to install and replace hardware components and peripherals
Strong customer service skills
Logical thinking and effective problem-solving skills
Strong time management skills
This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization

Preferred

Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Jira) and remote support platforms
Knowledge of NIST and CMMC cybersecurity standards
Exposure to automation tools (e.g., scripting, Group Policy Objects)
Industry certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA
