Responsibilities
Serve as a liaison for the accounting processes for accounts payable with Logistics and Apparatus Maintenance for the Fire/EMS Department
Coordinate and review processed work; and coordinate the accounts payable function within the various offices of the Fire/EMS Department and the Office of Finance and vendors
Resolve all accounts payable issues within a timely manner
Review and process various financial transactions in SAP
Responsible for preparing, entering and tracking procurement request in Ariba and SPEED
Maintain organized procurement files and supporting documentation in accordance with record retention and audit requirements
Performs tasks and duties that may not be specifically in the job description but are within the general occupational categories and task responsibility level
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in Accounting, Finance, Quantitative Analyses, or Business Administration or a closely related field
An equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered
Meet all training and performance standards and demonstrate proficiency as required by the agency
Wear and use agency protective apparel and equipment in the performance of their assigned duties, if applicable
Successfully pass preemployment checks which may include reference checks, background investigations, and drug screenings, where applicable
Be willing and able to serve as an essential employee. Essential employees are expected to report during standard or non-standard hours as operations necessitate, or during emergencies
Essential employees are expected to report or remain at work when other County employees are granted Administrative Leave
May be required to successfully complete a background investigation conducted by the Prince George's County Office of Human Resources Management, Public Safety Investigation Division
Eligibility to Work: Under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, an employer is required to hire only U.S. citizens and lawfully authorized alien workers
