Responsibilities

Participate in the use of energy system modeling efforts to include basic programming and guided modeling
Work with numerical efforts focused on sensitivity analysis under guidance from senior staff
Create reusable report templates that provide insights into energy system infrastructure

Required

Earned bachelor's degree
Currently attending and enrolled full time in the spring term immediately preceding the internship (or scheduled to graduate in the spring) in an accredited science, engineering, or math graduate program
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents, asylees or refugees in the U.S

Preferred

Pursuing a degree in engineering with mathematical modeling such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
Interest in Electrical Power Systems Research
Experience coding or in software development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision and ability to work in a team environment
Must be willing to work in Livermore, CA
Must have a means of transportation to and from work
