DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF GENERAL SERVICES
The County of Fresno is inviting applications for the position of Deputy Director of General Services. This role involves providing executive leadership over major operational and administrative functions of the Department, focusing on policy development, program implementation, and achieving departmental goals.

Responsibilities
Provide executive leadership over major operational and administrative functions of the Department
Support policy development, program implementation, and the achievement of departmental goals within applicable legal and regulatory frameworks
Oversight of Facility Services, Fleet Services and Business Services, encompassing the planning, purchasing, maintenance, and repair of County facilities, vehicles, and equipment, including asset management and janitorial services
Operational responsibility for the Business Office, Purchasing, and Security Services divisions, including fiscal administration, competitive procurement and contract management, surplus sales, security and parking programs
Qualification
Required
Possession of a bachelor's degree that is acceptable within the United States' accredited college or university system
Three (3) years of full-time, paid management work experience which included responsibility for developing, implementing, and evaluating budgets, organizational structures, and administrative policies, as well as the supervision of professional staff
Three (3) years of full-time, paid work experience equivalent to a division manager with the County of Fresno General Services Department, which included the supervision of staff
Possession of a master's degree that is acceptable within the United States' accredited college or university system may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience
Possession of a valid Class “C” driver's license, or equivalent
As a condition of employment, selected candidates will be required to undergo and pass a background investigation
