Division Facilitator, Academics and Accountability

Cherokee County School District - GA is seeking a Division Facilitator for Academics and Accountability to ensure efficient operation and support the district’s major system priorities. The role involves facilitating cross-divisional initiatives related to budget planning, financial reporting, and compliance, while also providing technical support and guidance to division personnel.

Education

Responsibilities

Facilitate cross-divisional initiatives related to budget planning, financial reporting, and funding compliance
Coordinate with program, finance, and district staff to align division and district priorities with local, state and federal funding requirements
Analyze local, state, and federal budgets and expenditures to support compliance and decision-making
Complete and submit accurate and timely records for state and federal reporting, including required compliance documentation
Monitor changes in federal, state, and district regulations affecting funding, reporting, and program implementation, and proactively communicate impacts and solutions to appropriate stakeholders
Assist in the development, coordination and facilitation of training related to financial compliance, reporting procedures, budget management, and overall division operational efficiency
Coordinate logistics for training sessions and evaluate effectiveness through participant feedback and data-informed follow-up
Support internal and external audits, federal monitoring, and reviews through preparation and submission of compliance reports
Advise supervisory staff on potential compliance risks and recommend appropriate corrective or preventative actions
Develop, revise, and maintain correspondence, procedures, manuals, and reports related to financial and compliance processes to ensure consistency and accuracy
Generate reports from financial systems and reporting platforms to support division priorities while ensuring adherence to data privacy and confidentiality requirements
Serve as the liaison for the Division of Academics and Accountability with the Divisions of Human Resources and Financial Management
Serve as a resource for division-specific applications, including state and federal reporting platforms, by providing guidance and technical support
Perform all assignments in a timely, accurate and professional manner
Respond to routine inquiries to support division personnel and provide technical support and guidance
Demonstrate accountability by completing assignments in accordance with established timelines, standards and expectations
Demonstrate independence, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills in the execution of daily assignments
Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular, predictable and punctual manner
Participate successfully in training programs and conferences to increase skills and proficiency related to job requirements
Review current developments, literature and technical sources of information related to job requirements to remain current on best practices
Ensure adherence to established safety procedures
Follow federal and state laws, Board of Education policies
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of any General Education Development Testing Program (GED)
Three or more years of experience in a related work field
Demonstrated knowledge of business operations, financial processes, or budget management
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Advanced technology skills required, including proficiency with office software, Excel and financial reporting platforms

Preferred

Post-secondary education in business, finance, accounting, or a related field
