Paralegal
Segal McCambridge, a nationally recognized litigation firm, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their Boston office. This role involves supporting attorneys in handling toxic tort, product liability, and tobacco litigation defense matters, with responsibilities including drafting legal documents, managing discovery, and assisting in trial preparation.
Consulting
Responsibilities
Drafting and preparing pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, and motion support materials
Managing large-scale discovery, including document review, organization, and production
Assisting with deposition preparation, including exhibits, summaries, and witness files
Coordinating expert materials and maintaining expert discovery
Tracking deadlines and maintaining case calendars in compliance with court rules
Assisting with trial preparation, including exhibit lists, trial binders, and logistics
Communicating with clients, vendors, experts, and opposing counsel as needed
Attending court proceedings, depositions, and trials as required
Qualification
Required
2+ years of defense litigation paralegal experience (practice-specific experience not required)
Experience working in Massachusetts required; Rhode Island and/or Connecticut experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of Massachusetts court rules and litigation procedures
Experience managing discovery and supporting motion practice
Excellent organizational, writing, and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently
Proficiency with litigation support software and document management systems
Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, client-focused approach
