Director of Sales
Tech Electronics is a technology services organization headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, specializing in low voltage life safety and communication systems. The Director of Sales will set sales strategy, lead a high-performing sales team, and drive revenue growth across various industry sectors including healthcare and education.
Public Safety
Responsibilities
Own and execute the sales strategy for the Fire Alarm business in the Denver region, aligned with company growth and margin objectives
Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals and estimators; set clear expectations, goals, and accountability
Drive new business development while expanding existing customer relationships across vertical markets (commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, multi-site, etc.)
Partner closely with Operations, Estimating, and Project Management to ensure accurate proposals, competitive pricing, and seamless project handoff
Establish and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, electrical contractors, developers, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs)
Oversee pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting; use CRM data to guide decisions and improve sales effectiveness
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices (NFPA, local/state codes, UL, etc.)
Collaborate with executive leadership on market expansion, staffing plans, and long-term growth initiatives
Represent Tech Electronics professionally in the Denver market, at industry events, and within professional associations
Qualification
Required
7+ years of sales leadership experience within the fire alarm / life safety industry
Demonstrated success selling fire alarm systems, service, and inspections in a competitive market
Strong understanding of fire alarm codes, standards, and the construction sales cycle
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop sales teams
Experience working with CRM platforms and data-driven sales management
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally within the Denver metro area
Preferred
NICET certification (Level II-IV) or equivalent fire alarm credentials
Experience selling integrated life safety solutions (fire alarm combined with security, access control, or other systems)
Prior P&L ownership or direct responsibility for revenue and margin performance
Established network within the Denver construction and life safety market
