Sr. Manager, HR Business Partner

Responsibilities
Partners closely with assigned client-group leadership in the development and execution of a business-specific people strategy and tactics; supporting and driving a wide range of areas, including organization design and strategy, workforce planning, talent management & development, total rewards, DEI, employee engagement, HR policy, compliance and retention
Consults, coaches, and influences Leadership and below in all aspects of the teammate lifecycle and drive team effectiveness across the different functions of the client-groups assigned
Promote and establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a highly engaged team environment; drive the UA culture through all levels of the business unit
Work closely with business unit leaders to assess in-house talent and create strategy to identify and retain current talent as well as attract outside talent to the business; prepare exit strategy for non-performers
Collaborate with HR Partners (i.e., other HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, DEI, Learning and Development, Total Rewards, and HR Admin/Operations), Transformation Office, Legal, FP&A, and Corporate Communications to effectively execute against the people strategy
Lead change readiness by supporting department heads in effectively driving & managing change & communication in the organization
Supports multi-year projects and initiatives across assigned client-group BU or UA to elevate the teammate experience or drive organizational effectiveness
Tracks performance against relevant HR data to drive continuous improvement across departments
Proactively seek knowledge of both industry and functional specialty researching best practices, legal developments, emerging trends, technological advancements, and benchmark comparisons to create HR practices that are best in class
Manage a team of Human Resources professionals and dotted line members of the HR POD following the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work or projects; appraising performance; professional development, rewarding and coaching; encouraging client group engagement; addressing, and ensuring efficient workflow through the HR pod
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; PHR/SPHR certification preferred
7+ years of experience in Human Resources or related experience; Proven knowledge of all core HR processes including performance management, organization design, leadership development, talent management, compensation, succession planning, training and organizational development
Prior experience promoting an atmosphere which inspires teammates to excel and develop
Prior experience leading talent strategy reviews, employee retention, and identification of high potential external resources
Prior experience providing confidential counseling and coaching to all levels of the organization. Exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
Proven experience working well with others to maintain and build cross-functional (internal and external) relationships
Strong organizational plus written and oral communication skills, expressing complex ideas in a clear, concise manner and strong presentation skills
Experience with data insight and data visualization tools such as PowerBI to story tell empowered data-based decision making
Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Nashville Distribution House in Nashville, TN
Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week
Travel: Up to 10% domestically
