Senior Financial Specialist
Tech Army, LLC is seeking a Senior Financial Specialist to lead training initiatives in financial management and compliance. The role involves mastering financial systems, managing data, ensuring audit readiness, and developing operational procedures to support training effectiveness.
Responsibilities
The specialist will lead training initiatives covering, but not limited to:
System Mastery: Navigating Financial Management (FM) System functionality and reporting, specifically the Federal Program Management (FPM) sub-system
Data Management: Utilizing technology for the compilation, review, and analysis of large datasets
Compliance & Classification: Ensuring proper cost classification and adherence to CFR Title 200 requirements
Audit Readiness: Managing documentation requirements, analyzing exception reports, and executing transaction corrections
Performance Monitoring: Identifying individual training objectives, adjusting methodologies, and monitoring the preparation of the weekly federal bill to evaluate training effectiveness
Operational Continuity: Developing and updating desktop procedures to facilitate cross-training and mitigate risks associated with staff turnover
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Relevant work experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
A minimum of two years of professional experience in financial management
Hands-on experience working with complex financial information systems
In-depth knowledge of FHWA policies and CFR Title 200 requirements
Proven ability to analyze large datasets and complex financial reports
Past experience serving as a trainer or lead, with the ability to set and monitor learning objectives
Strong foundational knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
