Responsibilities
Utilize Siemens/Mentor PADS Designer and Layout software. Utilized AutoCAD mechanical software
Create and maintain schematic symbols for Electrical CAD (ECAD) libraries, referencing component vendor data sheets. Create and maintain copper pad footprints, soldermask, and solderpaste patterns for ECAD library referencing component vendor data sheets, IPC standards, and internal company design guidelines
Create and maintain ECAD footprints for use by mechanical engineering. Ensure all requirements for fabrication, manufacturing, and assembly are met
Review drawings and data sheets for dimensional requirements
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience
Preferred
Knowledge of CAD software tools
Knowledge of SMT and through-hole electronic components and packages used on PCB assemblies
Understands mechanical dimensioning and tolerancing
Excellent attention to detail
Working knowledge of a PLM tool, e.g., Agile, Teamcenter, etc
