Responsibilities

Monitor daily pressure trends and test reports to identify and risk assess well barrier issues
Work with interventions and operations personnel to address identified well integrity issues or changes that affect the integrity or compliance of the well
Prepare and execute well integrity diagnostic, test, and repair procedures and provide support during well integrity testing operations
Evaluate well integrity logs (CBL, caliper, water flow, borax, etc.) to diagnose barrier issues and determine safe operating/testing pressures
Streamline procedures, employ new technologies, and develop innovative strategies to ensure efficient well integrity operations
Communicate all changes to well operability and well status internally, and update company databases to ensure compliance with regulations
Provided subject matter expertise on state and federal well integrity rules, requirements and reporting procedures
Maintain a current IADC-certified Supervisory Level well control training
Communicate with regulatory bodies on well integrity issues, changes to well status and, monitoring results
Ensure company policies, procedures, and systems are compliant and up to date
Ensure well lifecycle milestones such as conversions, operational shutdowns, well suspensions, and well abandonments, are tracked, inspected, and renewed where required
Establish minimum standards of regulatory compliance and ensure consistent application
Provide visible leadership and direction in the development of programs, policies, and procedures, both in the office and in the field
Participate in the Company’s efforts to interpret and comply with Federal and State regulations
Provide regulatory expertise in areas of well integrity, safety valves systems, well plugging and abandonment
Integrate with the Asset Team to understand impacts to operations, ensure Integrity programs and processes are aligned, communicate key metrics, and demonstrate value
Adhere to the established office-based work schedule and be punctual to work and meetings
Work across multiple teams to identify opportunities for common solutions or tools, and communicate/understand impacts to non-Integrity programs and processes
Maintain employee confidence and protect company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential
This position requires travel (20%) to field facilities and other offices to establish and maintain a good working rapport with operations personnel

Required

Four (4) years minimum experience in the petroleum industry with a strong emphasis in well interventions and well integrity engineering, preferably in Alaska
This position requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who identifies issues, develops solutions, and follows through on resolution of the problem
Knowledge of well construction, completion design and installation, well performance monitoring, well interventions (workover, wireline, pumping, coil tubing, etc.), annulus pressure management, corrosion management / control, cement and casing integrity assessment, leak detection surveys and evaluation, and artificial lift systems
Ability to maintain a positive, professional, and solutions-oriented approach with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials and the public
Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex data systems into an organized and presentable format
Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Sharepoint & Teams
Ability to work in Arctic conditions
Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.)
Required: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year university or college
Required: Previously completed a nationally recognized well control certification

Preferred

Knowledge of Federal and State regulations related to well integrity preferred
Knowledge of relevant industry best practices such as API RP 6A, 90-2, 65-3 & Norsok D-10
