Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Scout Clean Energy is focused on renewable energy solutions, and they are seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead financial modeling and performance reporting. This role involves overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance project economics and support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities
Review, challenge, and enhance business plans, forecasts, and quarterly financial reporting prepared by portfolio companies
Monitor and analyze key performance metrics against business plans, highlighting key drivers of variances
Build and maintain financial models and sensitivity analyses, including discounted cash flow valuation and IRR analysis
Develop standardized reporting formats and manage information flow between portfolio companies and Brookfield
Prepare clear, concise, executive‑ready presentations for senior management and board audiences
Mentor Scout FP&A finance team and act as a conduit between these teams and internal stakeholders, including Brookfield
Qualification
Required
5-8 years of progressive work experience in finance, consulting, or a related field
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (financial modeling) and MS PowerPoint (executive presentations)
Ability to understand diverse business drivers quickly
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Effective communicator with the ability to influence and build trust with senior stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing concise, impactful executive materials
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial outcomes to operational and strategic drivers
Organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Preferred
Professional designation (CPA, CFA, MBA, or similar) considered an asset
Knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS / US GAAP) is an asset
Experience in power, utilities, infrastructure, or renewable energy is considered an asset
