Responsibilities

Administer and implement operating policies and procedures for the Patient Family Housing Program
Review and manage reservation requests and confirmations, ensuring timely communication with families
Provide volunteer support and coordinate housekeeping, supply, and facility-related requests
Collaborate with hospital departments to support security, transportation, and operational needs
Ensure guest compliance with house rules, procedures, and safety protocols
Maintain awareness of patients’ medical status and evolving family needs that may impact housing arrangements
Foster positive interactions among resident families and respond to feedback, concerns, and requests
Assist with family support services as directed by the Program Manager
Respond to crisis situations, including medical and stressful emergencies, in accordance with hospital and City of Boston policies
Serve as part of a 24/7 team supporting two housing properties, providing coverage and assistance as needed

Required

Two years of applicable education or training in human services, hospitality, or a related field required
Minimum of one year of experience in a related role required
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy and professionalism in sensitive situations
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Basic computer proficiency
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when working with patients, families, and staff
