Model Based System Engineering Modeler (26-021)

This position is for a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Modeler supporting the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) System, responsible for developing, sustaining, and improving MBSE models, processes, and team execution in support of program objectives.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain high-quality MBSE models, including identifying authoritative and reference data sources to support model requirements
Establish workflows and processes to feed and sustain models with accurate data at the appropriate cadence
Develop MBSE models and support the MBSE team with implementation of team processes, task planning, and execution
Provide training and coaching to junior team members on MBSE practices and modeling tools
Maintain strong technical relationships with government customers and internal and external partner organizations
Support development of the full Digital Engineering lifecycle for the program
Develop and deliver technical briefings to stakeholders
Lead or represent the team in workshops and collaborative working sessions
Interface with MBSE leadership, technical leads, product owners, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time and within resource constraints
Review technical and procedural products and provide recommendations on content and technical details
Actively participate in Agile development efforts, including iteration planning and status activities
Qualification
Required
Extensive experience developing UML and SysML models using Dassault Systems CAMEO and Teamwork Cloud (TWC) or similar modeling platforms such as IBM Rhapsody or SPARX Enterprise Architect
Strong understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and how MBSE differs from traditional systems engineering methodologies
Experience working with Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) Classic
Experience managing requirements derivation, allocation, and traceability using DOORS and CAMEO
Ability to support and contribute to Agile development environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with government customers and cross-functional technical teams
Preferred
Understanding of general systems engineering management practices and Agile tools such as Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
Knowledge or experience administering JIRA, Confluence, or SharePoint
Ability to create and manage Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs), Requirements Verification Cross-reference Matrices (RVCMs), and similar artifacts using the CAMEO toolset
Understanding of basic data management concepts
Experience working on or leading digital transformation initiatives
Experience developing, managing, and sustaining relational database management systems (RDBMS)
Experience or knowledge of NoSQL databases and Big Data concepts, including data quality, data pipelines, and database integrations
