Responsibilities
Partner with the PMO to lead intake and prioritization processes
Help score IT requests based on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and ROI
Maintain the IT Demand Forecast, including upcoming projects, maintenance, and resourcing needs
Model labor and capital requirements for incoming initiatives
Partner with IT managers to assign staff based on skills, availability, and project priority
Balance resourcing between operational stability and innovation initiatives
Develop capacity vs. capability models to assess skill alignment (e.g., Epic-certified analysts, HL7 specialists)
Track utilization and burn rates to prevent over-allocation and system risk
Identify bench time and resource constraints across teams
Identify talent and skill gaps across IT teams
Partner with HR and IT leadership to recommend training for emerging technologies
Support long-term workforce planning initiatives
Qualification
Required
5+ years in IT Resource Management, Workforce Planning, or PMO roles
Experience operating in complex, multi-project environments
Understanding of hospital IT operations and on-call support environments
Familiarity with specialized clinical application support requirements
Expertise with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools such as ServiceNow, Workfront, or Smartsheet
Strong data fluency with the ability to visualize utilization, over-allocation, and bench capacity
Resource planning & workforce modeling
IT portfolio and demand management
Stakeholder collaboration (PMO, IT leadership, HR)
Data-driven decision making
Healthcare IT operational awareness
Bachelors Degree or higher
