HR Director

Performance Foodservice is a company dedicated to supporting America’s food distribution system. They are seeking an HR Director responsible for ensuring compliance with policies and standards regarding protected health information and overseeing various HR functions including staffing, training, and employee advocacy.

Responsibilities

Supervise associates to include, but not limited to staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution
Assist managers in staffing all vacancies. Ensure all administrative items are completed according to established guidelines (i.e., I-9 forms, employment applications)
Assist in the training of management in application of policies and procedure. Assess training needs within the company and coordinate delivery of appropriate information (i.e., computer skills, management skills, etc.)
Function as an associate advocate by representing associates’ issues to management as appropriate. Work with management team in resolving associate issues by investigating concerns and sharing resolution alternatives
Assist in the development and maintenance of company policies and procedures to include effective communications to associates. Advise management of fair and consistent application of all approved policies and procedures
Ensure benefits are explained to new associates and their enrollment is processed at appropriate time. Ensure all company benefits are communicated and administered in a fair and consistent manner
Oversee procedures and processes to maintain our compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) regulations. Work with Safety Committee and building maintenance team on compliance
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or Equivalent
4-6 years' experience in Human Resources or related area with supervisory experience
