Responsibilities
Conducting financial planning research and assisting in the creation of Fidelity's planning methodologies and related collateral
Identifying and accessing data for financial planning methodology research and development
Identifying the impact of financial planning frameworks and decisions on customer behavior and outcomes
Designing, developing prototypes & working with tech partners to implement prototypes
Is enthusiastic about helping Fidelity customers through impactful financial planning and improved financial well‑being
Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, initiative, and a desire to continuously learn new skills
Brings strong quantitative, analytical, and problem‑solving capabilities
Strong passion for data and financial planning, with a focus on improving customer well‑being
Communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
Has an interest in financial planning and pursuing the CFP designation
Thrives in a fast paced, collaborative, team-based environment
Working knowledge of generative AI and Vibe coding is a plus
Qualification
Required
Holds a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
Has experience with quantitative model construction, data analytics and/or data science, and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, Java, and VBA
Communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
Has an interest in financial planning and pursuing the CFP designation
1–3 years of relevant financial services experience
Thrives in a fast paced, collaborative, team-based environment
Preferred
Working knowledge of generative AI and Vibe coding is a plus
