Senior LevelTekIntegral is a leader in the energy storage market, seeking a Senior SCADA Programmer/Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Ignition-based SCADA systems for utility-scale battery energy storage projects. The role involves integrating systems with PLCs and RTUs, building dashboards for real-time monitoring, and providing technical support to ensure operational reliability.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Ignition-based SCADA system and associated platforms
HMI programming and data integration with internal/external applications
Integrate SCADA system with PLCs, RTUs, and other equipment
Assist in the development, configuration, and maintenance of PLCs for energy storage plant control
Assist with development, configuration, and maintenance of RTUs
Support day-to-day plant SCADA and controls tasks to ensure network reliability, availability, and serviceability with minimal interruption
Maintain detailed documentation of development processes, system configurations, and modifications
Provide technical support, respond to complex work orders/tickets, and analyze/solve operational technology/control system problems
Qualification
Required
Sr level background as a SCADA programmer/engineer with recent experience building and maintaining an Ignition software platform
Experience working with SCADA systems within the battery storage sector; if not, then renewable or utility/energy industry
Strong background in controls/PLC (Schneider Electric/Modicon), instrumentation, protocols, RTU's
Battery Power and Inductive Automation Ignition Experience required
Hands on experience with battery energy storage systems use cases: PFR, FFR, & black start
Programming experience: Python, IEC 61131-3, C, C++, C#
Experience in server deployment and management (AWS)
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols: DNP3.0, Modbus, OPC-UA, MQTT, SNMP
Preferred
BS/BA degree required; EE preferred
Candidates from energy/utility construction services companies (e.g., Burns McDonnell, Black & Veatch, Moss, Ulteig, Tesla)
BSEE and extensive background in industry
