Classification & Pay Analyst
The California State Lottery is seeking a Classification & Pay Analyst to join their team. The role involves performing varied and complex technical work associated with recruitment efforts, conducting salary determinations, and developing departmental policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Perform varied and complex technical work associated with departmental recruitment efforts
Act independently, without direct supervision, providing customer service to programs
Conduct salary determinations
Conduct duty statement evaluations
Conduct minimum qualification checks
Develop departmental policies and procedures
Conduct training
Assist with various special projects relating to classification & pay
Qualification
Required
Current Analyst II exam
Knowledge and experience with the state's Merit Based Hiring practices
Human resources experience
Experience developing policies and procedures
Experience providing customer service in a business environment to management, staff, and the public
Knowledge and experience with the Examination Certification Online System (ECOS)
Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities with varying deadlines
Experience in conducting training and administering exams
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to analyze and present data to staff of all levels
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Excellent oral and written communication skills
